Danelectro misplaced a load of Lipstick® pickups in their warehouse only to rediscover them 15 years after they were manufactured. When these pickups were listened to it was discovered they had more twang and punch than any Lipstick ever. They just sound great! Danelectro took the flagship '59 model with the tunable die cast bridge and installed these 15-year-old pickups creating the best playing Dano ever.

Manufactured in Korea, the '59 "Modified Spec" model features all the original appointments you love from the original including the bottle headstock and texture side edge tape, and has the 6-saddle adjustable bridge.

The current range of Danelectro reissues are made in Korea, are built to original specifications, and still have all the mojo and vibe of the original instruments. Hearing Is Believing.
